Description

Up for sale is neat antique wood document box that I recently found. Its made out of curved trim or base board wood. It has an old repair but still has a nice look. The paint is great. Displays well. Made with square nails. Looks like it dates to around 1840-1860. Has the original lock and hinges but no key. Neat form with the curves from the base board. Has a divided interior. Looks like white pine. Found from an Indiana Dealer but not sure of midwest or New England. Great oxidation to the bottom. 13 and half inches across the front. 8 and 3/4 inches deep. 4 and 7/8 inches tall. Condition: Displays well. Lid has separated some. Lid also has a repair on the back corner. Hard to see when its displayed on a shelf. Otherwise it has some scratches, dents and general wear. Big dent or gouge on the right corner. Other wear around the corners. Original lock and hinges. No other repairs. No touchups to the paint. Great surface. Attic alligatoring to the surface. See video and photos to determine condition.
